I’m back in the saddle for the first time this year. Lots of reasons why only now; none of them are good. Due to travel and holidays I kinda took 3 months off of my irregularly scheduled programming. Even though there was some unscheduled exercise walking around in new and familiar places, there probably wasn’t enough in general, and that’s not good. So, here’s the first attempt at getting back up on that horse, off of which I kinda threw myself. I enjoyed the route the last time I followed the Naab — at least the first part of it. I repeated that this time, but on purpose at the Ederer car dealership and gas station outside of Etterzhausen, I went north instead of east and headed up the Goldberg. It turns into dirt/gravel road pretty quick, so be aware of that. And it got steeper, quicker than I expected. So much so, that I got off and walked a bit (haven’t had to do that in a while, but my pulse was racing, and that’s not was I was going for)....

I needed to burn off some energy after a frustrating work week. Thus the zigzagging you see in the football stadium’s parking lot (southeast corner of my route). The snaps aren’t great because of how dark it was already. I anticipated this, so I shot a video of basically the southwest corner of my route to the northwest corner. You’ll want to turn the sound off for that. It’s not pleasant....
