Regenstauf Restock

I needed to hit the packaging-free store again, and it was kind of a holiday weekend (Christi Himmelfahrt, or Ascension for those keeping score at home), and there was a window of agreeable weather. (The rest of this weekend has been pretty iffy, weather-wise.) So, after work on Friday, I got on the ol' Drahtesel once again and headed up to Regenstauf to Quantum Satis to refill my own containers of...

Big ambition...but no

It had been a couple weeks, so I guess I’m not all that surprised that I bailed about a quarter of the way through and chopped the route in half. But it requires good behavior on the part of all my fellow residents, such that the pandemic restrictions can ease up, and … Schaumermal....

Happy Easter! It’s been an ecumenical year since I started doing this. Time flies even when you’ve got nowhere (on the larger scale) to go. I went back to the region where I slid down a mountain on my butt, but this time I was very careful about the elevation over horizontal distance. I learned from that mistake, for sure. It was not even 45 kilometers, but more of those were uphill than I am ready for, so I am moving slowly around the house for the rest of today....
